The community on Andaman Island represents the culmination of E&O’s expertise, offering a lifestyle that is connected, convenient, and complete with state-of-the-art facilities and a prime location.
Andaman Island has been designed to be easily accessible from the main Penang island. Two strategically located bridges make driving, cycling or even walking between Andaman and Penang Island an easy commute.
A bridge takes you from Andaman Island directly to the new Gurney Bay, the new public park at George Town’s famous Gurney Drive. The connection to Gurney Bay will give Andaman residents easy access to George Town, the gastronomical paradise of Pulau Tikus, and the commercial, manufacturing and tech business districts.
Another bridge will connect Andaman Island to Seri Tanjung Pinang, providing easy access to the residential enclaves at Tanjung Tokong, and the beaches of the famed Batu Ferringhi.
Andaman Island has sustainable practices and principles built into its very core. Every building on this urban island has been designed to meet Green Building Certification standards. E&O is working closely with its architects and builders to minimize the use of virgin materials; building materials have also been carefully selected to lower Andaman’s carbon footprint and improve the lifecycle of materials used. The whole island has been designed to incorporate natural resources with innovative infrastructure.
Andaman Island will have a green area of over 90 acres. In just Phase 1 alone, there will be more than 200,000 plants, consisting primarily of local varieties. The island also features a number of public greens and parks, with undulating topography, walkways for gentle exercise, benches for rest and relaxation, and playgrounds for children.
Rainwater harvesting and stormwater collection systems will be used for landscape maintenance and irrigation. Recycling and reducing waste are key priorities on Andaman, with plans for low energy consumption and composting aimed at lowering Andaman’s carbon footprint.
A lifetime in the making, Andaman has been designed for future generations to live and thrive.
